Q+A: Cleaning Tile and Grout

Q: What do you recommend for cleaning tile and grout?A: First off, put down the all-purpose cleaner. Most general cleaners contain harmful chemicals that can damage natural stone. It's important to look for a product that is specifically designed to clean stone, ceramic and porcelain tile. For basic, everyday cleaning, we recommend a concentrated pH neutral cleanser designed for all surfaces (granite, natural stone and slate, ceramic and porcelain tile). For tougher stains, we recommend using a heavy-duty acidic cleaner that goes to work on sanded grout and mortar residue, joint cement, lime and hard water deposits, efflorescence, rust and other heavy dirt and grime. We carry and heartily recommend using the Miracle Sealants line of cleaning products for your tile and stone.
