  • glue-down, staple, or float

Longstrip, Engineered Floors

  • use above, on or below ground level
  • glue-down, staple, or float

There are many different types of hardwood to choose from. Hardwood flooring specialists can help you determine which type of flooring (exotic woods or bamboo floors) would suit your floor situation.

Engineered Flooring: This is where wood plies are glued and laminated together to form a wood plank. Engineered floors can range from ¼” to more than ½” and can be installed pretty much everywhere in a home or business, even over concrete floors.

Solid Hardwood Flooring: This is where a piece of hardwood is cut into ¾” inch thick planks and is installed and finished all together on site, or sometimes comes prefinished for easy hardwood floor installation. Solid hardwood flooring is not recommended for installation over concrete slabs, this floor covering is best installed above ground. If you decided to use solid hardwood flooring, you will also need to decide which type of finish will work best, and there are a variety of hardwood finishes to choose from.

Longstrip Engineered Flooring: This type of engineered flooring comes with a longer and wider plank. This allows the top layer of longstrip engineered floors to show about 3 rows or thin hardwood strips.

Laminate flooring offers exceptional durability for active areas!
Whether you are remodeling or building a new home laminate floors have become a popular choice for active areas in many homes. Originally from Europe, laminate flooring has quickly become a major flooring category in North America. Consumers will find availability and wide selection of designs and colors are easy to find in flooring stores. Laminate floors are great for maintenance because they are so easy to clean. Laminate flooring is easier to install than hardwood flooring and can come at a fraction of the cost.

Laminate floors are incredibly durable, easy to care for and come in a wide variety of realistic stone and wood flooring designs. If you love the look of real hardwood but are concerned with the upkeep then hardwood laminate floors are the answer. Hardwood laminate floors look just like regular wood flooring, but can be cheaper and easier to maintain. If you are concerned with tearing up old flooring or are budget-minded than laminate flooring may be a great choice for you.
